“Louisiana artist Martin Duplechin was raised in Sulphur, La. and comes from a long line of talented artists. As a youth he, briefly, studied under Elton Louviere but did not pursue a career in art as a young adult. Now, he has decided to breathe life back into his brushes as he moves into retirement. He loves the outdoors and has been fishing and hunting since his early childhood; it is much more than just a hobby for him as is his time as a singer, which he has been doing for over 40 years. He continues to do woodwork in his shop which has also become his studio, where he enjoys creating his works of art through the use of oils, acrylics, pastels, etc...”
